Listed as "Lane's Mill Historic Buildings" on the National Historic Registry since 1980, Sycamore Farms Country Inn was envisioned as an opportunity for guests to experience a lifestyle rapidly vanishing, the family farm.
In 1819 the lumber and grain mill located on the creek was a significant hub of commerce in the rapidly expanding communities of Darrtown and Oxford.
As years rolled into centuries, the home has nurtured entrepreneurs, educators, housewives, veterans and politicians.
They all shared two common traits, they had a vision for the future, and they were farmers practicing stewardship of the land.
