Our unique Colonial Revival home is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1901 by Charles Ringling, one of the founders of the Ringling Brothers Circus, and was constructed with some of the finest materials and modern conveniences available. Julie Hearley and Stuart Koehler are engaged to be married, and some year, between starting a new business, working, and getting to know our neighbors and guests, we will find the time to get married!
Julie was a computer programmer for over 25 years, is a musician, loves to cook, garden, and has event planning experience.
Stuart has been a manager for over 35 years, with property, operations, and business management experience.
He has an MBA, has written a book, and has experience running several different businesses in his lifetime.
Tours of the Ringling Estate are free for those who have booked a room with us.
However, if you are in the Baraboo area, would like to take a tour of the house, and are not able to stay with us, you can get still get a tour of the grand house & grounds.
We offer tours by appointment by calling 608-356-4229.
Ticket prices are as shown, and can be paid in full at the door in cash or credit.
The principal entrance to the house is through the double doors of the front porch.
This pair of doors opens into a vestibule measuring approximately eleven feet by five feet.
The floor is inset with 3/4 inch glazed white tiles with a Greek key design in red forming a border, typical of a Ferry & Clas design.
The interior door arrangement mirrors the outer doors, the second pair of glazed doors flanked by sidelights opens into the main hall.
The central hall (measuring ll'l" x 27'8") provides access to the principal rooms of the house.
Each room at the Ringling House offers a different glimpse into the life and experiences of the Ringling family and circus culture.
Each room has a private bathroom, kind or queen bed, wifi and historic decor.
This room is dedicated to Charles and Edith Ringling, the couple who built this grand home in 1901.
This room was Edith's sitting room.
It features a king size canopy bed, large windows, built-in fireplace with electric insert, air conditioning, and private attached bath with walk in shower, marble sink, and heated bath fan.
