Services
The existing Chestnut Hill Hotel building was constructed in 1894 to replace an earlier Inn, which had been built in the same location in 1772.
During Prohibition, the Hotel degenerated into a speakeasy and, according to some local residents, a bordello.
In 1957-1958, the Hotel had its turrets and porches removed and the Hotel was remodeled in the colonial style.
In the early 80's, it was renovated again and became the core of the current retail complex, with the Hotel's carriage house and stables transformed into stores and a farmers' market.
In our boutique hotel, each room is unique.
We have six different room types, all non-smoking, as shown below.
Some of the rooms overlook Germantown Avenue, some overlook the parking lot, and others overlook our gardens and the Fareway.
Our queen, queen rooms have two queen-sized beds and enough space to comfortably accommodate up to four people.
The room also includes a refrigerator, desk, and safe, and is non-smoking.
Breakfast is included and there is complimentary parking.
Our king rooms have a single king-sized bed, refrigerator, desk, safe, and is non-smoking.
Our Hotel offers a mobile accessible room with one King-size bed located on the second floor with elevator access and a roll-in shower.

An accessible route from the Hotel registration area and guestrooms to the complimentary breakfast available in the Bombay Room.
We do not have a TTY for guest use, but we do have an iPhone that can be used to type messages back and forth.
The Chestnut Hill Hotel is located in the historic community of Chestnut Hill, approximately nine miles northwest from Center City Philadelphia.
