Brewster House Bed & Breakfast
Our Freeport, Maine bed and breakfast inn is the perfect spot for a trip to LL Bean, Freeport outlet shopping, your base from which to explore the Maine coast, or for a romantic getaway! At Brewster House, we're about comfort in an atmosphere of simple elegance. Our beds and ironed linens will seduce you, and our fresh ground coffee and three-course gourmet breakfast will start your day with a happy, relaxed smile.

Our inn was built in the late 19th century blossoming of Freeport, and the amazing quality of the built-in details and materials of this 5,000 square foot home reflects the wealth created in Maine in this period. Our 9' ceilings, large private baths, Matouk linens, large fireplaced rooms, bay windows, cypress floors, mahogany mantelpiece, and Italian marble tiled hearth are yours to luxuriate in!

We have parking for 11 cars, a porch to rock on with your glass of wine or Iced Tea, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and a large backyard garden for your function, or nap in one of our colorful Adirondack chairs.
Services
Brewster House is a historic Freeport, Maine Inn, with a charming history of a family dating back to the Mayflower pilgrims.
Jarvis Adelbert Brewster built the house in 1888.
He moved to Freeport in approximately 1887, following his marriage to Fannie Adams, the daughter of Captain Israel Adams, of Lincolnville.
Brewster was a local businessman and the owner of J. A. Brewster, General Merchandise, and a "Dealer in Hardware, Stoves, Crockery, Groceries, Lime, Cement, Paints, Oils, etc." (as his store invoices of the 1890's recite).
We are Kelleigh & Dave, your hosts.
We, along with our children-Ben, Davis & Ruby-would love to host you for your Maine travels.
We are self proclaimed Maine-hattanites-yes, you can use that.
We've made Maine our home for the last year and a half and are now "living the dream" as business owners and innkeepers.
After 20 years in the best city in the world, we bring our New York sensibilities to your stay, striving to bring our guests the best in customer service, luxury accommodations and delicious cuisine.
We invite you to read the Freeport, Maine bed and breakfast reviews of our coastal B&B inn and see the awards we have earned by offering our fine and unique luxury lodging.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
We especially enjoyed your friendly suggestions on places to see, i.e., lighthouses, and directions for getting there.
You two are a delightful team - great hosts!
The bedroom is wonderful - fabulous sleep in such an enjoyable bed with beautifully laundered linen.
Breakfast was superb - a real country breakfast which we really enjoyed.
Freeport, Maine is located on Maine's Coast, about 2 hours north of Boston and about 3 hours south of Bar Harbor.
We offer a premier B&B on the Maine Coast at Brewster House.
Take Exit 22 from Interstate 295 (this is about 22 miles from the junction of I-295 and I-95 south of Portland).
At the end of the exit ramp turn onto Route 125 / Mallett Drive, toward Freeport Village (turn left if coming from the South, turn right if coming from the North).
Charge me up!
This old Queen Anne Victorian is about to rocket into the age of the electric car!
We are excited to share that as members of Select Registry, in a new partnering enterprise with Tesla automobile company, this Spring we will be installing two electric charging stations for your convenience here at Brewster House.
If you own or have ever given serious consideration to an electric vehicle, one obvious concern is where you can get them charged, especially in the context of traveling.
