Brewster House is a historic Freeport, Maine Inn, with a charming history of a family dating back to the Mayflower pilgrims.
Jarvis Adelbert Brewster built the house in 1888.
He moved to Freeport in approximately 1887, following his marriage to Fannie Adams, the daughter of Captain Israel Adams, of Lincolnville.
Brewster was a local businessman and the owner of J. A. Brewster, General Merchandise, and a "Dealer in Hardware, Stoves, Crockery, Groceries, Lime, Cement, Paints, Oils, etc." (as his store invoices of the 1890's recite).

Charge me up!
This old Queen Anne Victorian is about to rocket into the age of the electric car!
We are excited to share that as members of Select Registry, in a new partnering enterprise with Tesla automobile company, this Spring we will be installing two electric charging stations for your convenience here at Brewster House.
If you own or have ever given serious consideration to an electric vehicle, one obvious concern is where you can get them charged, especially in the context of traveling.
