Pheasant Field Bed & Breakfast
We invite you to stay at our B&B in Carlisle, PA where guests experience genuine hospitality in a casual atmosphere. Our impressive 1802 brick farmhouse is nestled on ten beautiful acres in the heart of the Cumberland Valley. Relax on our quiet front porch or listen to the sounds of nature on our large brick patio. We invite you to explore our grounds and walk the perimeter path along the horse pasture or take a stroll to our pond - home to fish, frogs, migratory birds and waterfowl.

Guests are welcome to visit our flower and vegetable gardens and even collect some eggs from our free-range chickens. Go for a trail run or hike! The Appalachian Trail is a short 1/2 mile walk from the front door! The town of Carlisle and the surrounding Pennsylvania area has a lot of excitement and relaxation to offer. Check out our list of favorites to start your own adventure.

My husband and I stayed recently while visiting the area for some sightseeing and hiking. We loved strolling the grounds to see the well-cared-for house, rooms, and barns.
Services
Our stately, federal-style brick farmhouse was built by Gen. John Miller between 1800 & 1810.
In the past two centuries, this property served as a family farm, a dairy farm, and horse breeding facility and is said to have sheltered runaway slaves as a stop on the Underground Railroad.
More recently, Pheasant Field has been a popular B&B.
Although the main house is more than 200 years old, it's been lovingly maintained.
Frequent updates provide guests with comfortable accommodations and modern convenience in an early American setting.
Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast provides a level unloading and loading surface close to the entrance.
We provide a ramp for wheel chairs, walkers, etc and ground level entrance to three guest rooms.
We have ample parking on level surface and surface with a slight incline.
We are unable to provide covered passenger pick-up/drop-off areas.
We have a ramp to allow wheel chairs, walkers, etc. access to our patio which leads to our main entrance.
Our accessible guest room is accessible at ground level and there is a route from the guest room to the main entrance, which includes a slight incline/decline and the ramp to the patio.
Our guests appreciate the private porch entrance to this room, which is especially convenient for visitors traveling with pets.
Located on the far end of the house, it offers easy access to the side yard holding an array of flowers, herbs and our raised-bed vegetable garden areas.
This bright room features reclaimed wood floors, a queen-size iron bed, rocking chair, and wet-bar with microwave and small refrigerator.
The private bath has a step-in shower and an antique vanity sink.
Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful pet friendly alternative to a chain hotel, and our guests love this sweet and comfortable room.
Enjoy vacation lodging at our B&B while traveling with your horse through the Carlisle/Harrisburg area.
Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast provides overnight horse boarding in our 'Horse Hotel'.
Horse areas and accommodations are clean, safe and maintained daily.
We have two paddocks with run-in shelters and three guest stalls.
A large parking area close to the paddocks will accommodate several trailers and allows ample room to offload horses easily with only a short walk to their overnight accommodation.
The historic farmhouse and surrounding pastures at Pheasant Field Bed and Breakfast present a delightful location for weddings, receptions and events.
Our stately brick home, stone barn and beautifully landscaped gardens create a lovely backdrop for your wedding day.
Wedding ceremonies under the pergola by the pond are peaceful with only the sound of the fountain in the distance.
For a more traditional ceremony, nuptials can be held at the arbor in our perennial garden where trees, fencing and flowers create an elegant setting.
