The Monte Vista Hotel is located just outside Asheville in Black Mountain and is home to a lush landscape, world-class dining, arts and entertainment.
Southern Proper Hospitality, together a few other Black Mountain partners acquired the hotel and redesigned the accommodations to create a comfortable and classically hip boutique mountain oasis.

Our Lodge Queen rooms are cozy, rustic rooms in Lodge Annex, added to the Monte Vista Hotel in the 1950s.

This is a good option for families who would prefer to have a television.

It is a lightly sloping, smooth wide trail with lots of people out and having fun.
The trail follows a shallow river for just over a mile (20-25 minutes) to a 80ft cascading falls.
There is a nice pool at the bottom to enjoy the mist, cool your feet and rest for the return trip.
The downhill walk back is a piece of cake.
Lots of little trails to the river with rocks and logs to explore on the way.
