Located just steps from the beach in the legendary Hotel del Coronado, the restaurant's key focus is the bounty of the sea. The menu focuses on sustainable seafood, with a coastal cuisine menu that spotlights the best of the region's oceans, farms and fields, ranging from the California Coast down to the Baja Peninsula.

Creative cuisine with a global flair is prepared by San Diego's own Chef Jojo Ruiz, who creates elegant, fresh dishes with just a hint of Mediterranean flair. At Sera, we are dedicated to serving delicious cuisine that reflects the bounty of the region. Our menu focuses on the finest ingredients we can get our hands on, including produce and meat sourced from the farms and fields of California, and of course, seafood sourced from the California coast.

At the helm of the kitchen is Chef JoJo Ruiz, an accomplished chef whose dedication and talent earned him a spot on Eater's prestigious top 50 "Young Guns" list of up and coming culinary talent, where he was recognized as one of the most promising young chefs in the country.
Ruiz's unique culinary style incorporates the tenets of California Cuisine, which is characterized by using the freshest local ingredients possible and employing methods, techniques, and flavoring inspired by cultures around the world.
Seating at Serea has been arranged to accommodate physical distancing.
Menus will be displayed or available digitally via QR code with single-use menus provided upon request.
Face coverings that cover the nose and mouth are required in all public areas, except when dining.
We ask that guests wear their masks when leaving the table for any reason during the dining reservation.
Our team has received an extensive orientation on our new procedures and protocols.
In addition, the Serea Staff Members are required to perform self-screenings at home and a contactless temperature check at the Hotel Del Team Member entrance before beginning work.
