Beautiful hand hewn beams adorn the common areas with quarter sawn oak and Spanish tile flooring. Chief Surgeon for the Homestake hospital, Doctor Robert B Fleeger (1886 - 1966) directed the building of his home in 1935, utilizing the largest of Ponderosa pines from the Black Hills forests for panelling and beams.

We have both been fortunate in our years to have lived in many other parts of the country and also overseas but feel most at home in Paha Sapa, the Native American name for the Black Hills of South Dakota.

In particular, we love the Northern Black Hills with its old west charm, high elevation, heavy snowfall, mild temperatures, cooler summers and cheerful friendly residents.

Couples and red roses are the theme with red and white wisteria adorning the ledge surrounding the bed area.
Two sets of windows on the south and west side give the room abundant lighting.
The roomy en suite private bath with its original pink wall tiling has two sinks and a roomy tiled shower with plenty of space available for guest's toiletries.
Luxury shampoo and soaps are also provided for guests.

The King bed has a super plush pillow top, and a seating area is available for relaxing or TV viewing.
Adjoining the main room through the french doors is Bella's room which has a large daybed for one, with a bedside table, rocking chair and closet for guest use.
