Let The Prospector Motel be your base for exploring the San Juan Mountains, Silverton and the surrounding areas in all seasons. We are open year round, with Lower Rates in the Spring and Fall. We have 12 ground level rooms with a variety of different layouts from two queen beds to single king or queen bed options. We are the closest motel to Silverton's bustling shopping and business district.
Everything you need is just a short walk away, including shops, restaurants, groceries, museums, tours and hiking trails. Rooms are basic but very good: clean, comfy bed, decent size, DirecTV, etc. Andy is extremely helpful, and friendly but not intrusive. Silverton is a great town to visit. Have been several times and always stay at the Prospector.
Whenever I need time away from the fast-paced, high speed world I live in, I race up to Silverton to relax at the Prospector. Do yourselves a favor and take the checkered flag at the Prospector.
