Around the Corner is named after a painting by a favorite New England artist, Andrew Wyeth. Located in the Historic District, founded in 1998, Around the Corner is an elegant Dutch Colonial home built in 1929 by Dr. Cleon W. Colby. We offer a charming, comfortable and convenient "home away from home" for guests visiting the Seacoast, Phillips Exeter Academy and family and friends.

Artist themed guest rooms are tastefully appointed with artwork and books about the artist for your reading pleasure. Just a 5 minute walk to downtown, one is transported in time to the quintessential New England town complete with steeple, bandstand and quaint shops nestled between the soothing sounds of the Exeter - Squamscott River.

Whether walking across the street to cross country ski the miles of wooded trails, or strolling into town to listen to the nostalgic sounds of the Exeter Brass Band Monday evenings in July, visitors delight in a myriad of activities and artistic endeavors.A 1 hour train trip from Exeter guides travelers south to Boston or north to Portland, a perfect day trip before enjoying the abundant farm to table fare that Exeter has to offer.
