The Mauian is a small, beachfront retreat nestled at the center of one of Maui's most beautiful beaches--crescent-shaped Napili Bay. Set amidst two acres of lush gardens and fragrant plumeria trees, the low-rise property is known for its nostalgic 1950s tropics architecture, warm hospitality, and laid-back ambiance. The garden and beach views from our big balcony were stunning.
A 30 seconds walk along the open deck or garden led to a soft sand beach with calm clear water, protected by a reef. It's the beach, the view, the rooms, the breakfast, the landscaping, but most of all, it is the staff that give this place. It was a great experience to be able to sleep with the sound of the ocean and natural air flowing in the room.
This is not my first review of the Mauian--my husband's family has been coming back here for well over 20 years. This is a great place for a low-key family vacation.

The 44-unit Mauian was built by a Hawaiian family in 1959 and over the decades has continued to retain its "old Hawaii" charm.
