This was a very pleasant surprise - with the individual cabins and throw-back atmosphere.
The most unique feature - definitely not something a place can plan or design for - was the immediate feeling that you're home, just with a group of new neighbors! Several folks sitting in the chairs just outside the door to their cabin - all ready to give a sincere smile and "How ya' doin'?" We met a few really nice folks traveling through and will be staying here again any time we're near Buffalo!

As the new owners/operators of the Z Bar Cabins and Motel along with our children - the Z Bar has become a great place for us to put down our roots in this beautiful mountain community.
Through the years of construction and renovations, most of the cabins have been restored to their original charm and beauty of post World War II America in which they were built while more updates are planned and on the way.
After serving in the United States Army Air Force during World War II, Tom Zeiser built the original small log cabins using hand hewn, Swedish cope logs.
