If you are looking for something that goes beyond a mere hotel stay on your next visit to Palm Springs, then look no further than the Willows Historic Palm Springs Inn. From September to May of each year, the Willows opens its fabled doors to a limited number of lucky guests. With only seventeen guest rooms, the Willows retains the feel of an exclusive private hideaway, which is exactly what it was created to be nearly a century ago.

There is nothing of the soulless cookie-cutter hotel found here. As Los Angeles magazine so rapturously declared, "Staying at the Willows is like getting the keys to a well -off friend's country estate." One of Palm Springs' most beloved landmarks, the Willows holds a rare and prestigious "Class 1" historic designation and is honored as one of the ten oldest structures in the entire City.

As rich as its history may be, however, the Willows is anything but a dusty old museum. Having undergone an extensive and sensitive multi-year restoration, the Willows has been carefully and tastefully brought into the 21st Century in a way that frequent guest Dr. Albert Einstein would thoroughly approve.

One of the most common questions we get from guests is "When is the best time to visit Palm Springs?"
We can make a case for much of the year, to be honest, but there is one season that we do tend to consider as the "best" time to visit Palm Springs, and that is winter (or some combination of the winter and spring).
There are plenty of things that make this season the best time to visit Palm Springs, but there's no doubt that the warm and sunny weather makes for a welcome respite from the rest of the country, much of which is mired in cold weather at this time of year.
This gem of a building, which was formerly the Santa Fe Federal Savings & Loan Building, was purchased by the Palm Springs Art Museum in 2011 and turned into the Architectural and Design Center.
The building was designed by E. Stewart Willings in 1960 and is a prime example of the midcentury modern architecture for which Palm Springs is so famous.
Within these walls, you'll find a number of architecturally-related exhibits and educational programs.
A significant piece of this collection of the Frey House II, the famous home built by architect Albert Frey in 1963.
