We are the Joyce sisters; Mary, Anne and Melissa. On a whim, we decided to buy the Whip-O-Will Motel on New Hampshire's Newfound Lake, one of the most pristine lakes in the state and a favorite place of ours for many years. We repaired, refurbished, replaced, and redecorated. As part of the transformation, we made an effort to honor the property's collective history.
Touches of vintage decor include the original natural wood doors and several Formica-topped tables from the 1950's. A wooden rack we found hanging at the back of the building, originally used to hold motel employee time cards, now holds brochures and information on local businesses and attractions. Many of our guests are returning friends who have discovered us since we opened in 2013.
Others stayed here long ago and tell us they are thrilled to be back. We are delighted to welcome you with warm hospitality and a charming place to stay while you experience the beautiful Newfound region.
