Normarke Farm Bed and Breakfast is Norwegian for the "woods to the north". This rustic and majestic log cabin escape is in the Northern Black Hills just 20 minutes from the charm and wild west history of Deadwood including the gold rush of the 1870's that put Deadwood on the map. It's cobble stone streets echo the gun fights of yesteryear and the cowboy heritage.
Normarke Farm is a log cabin on a beautiful acreage framed by forest lands and nestled next to a paved road connecting Rapid City to Highway 385 and the rest of the Black Hills. We feature 5 Scandinavian themed rooms - all with private bath, living room with 28 foot field stone fireplace, 80 foot deck for viewing elk, deer, coyotes, turkeys, and Reausaw Lake, guest kitchen, guest laundry, sauna, library, and a family room with Norwegian style wood burning fireplace.
Your morning starts with coffee and tea, while Diane & Jon craft a delicious, gourmet breakfast from scratch from our ever growing repertoire of savory and sweet recipes.

Services
Your hostess, Diane, was born to a Swedish-American father and a Norwegian-American mother.
All of Diane's grandparents were immigrants from Norway and Sweden during the second wave of immigration from the Scandinavian countries in the 1890's through early 1900's.
Diane's maternal grandmother, Petra Fatland Knutsen, from Halsnoy Island, Norway, honored and kept her heritage which inspired a pride of that heritage within her family.
Through Normarke Farm, Diane preserves her Scandinavian heritage and brings to others an awareness of and appreciation for the hospitality, hard work, ingenuity and joy of life of the Scandinavian people.

Thanks for the hospitality.
This was my first extended stay visit to the Black Hills and I'm happy I chose Normarke Farm.
We have really enjoyed our stay here in your forest home.
Thank you for all the travel information too.
Every time we go to a different area, it's hard to decide if we like it better than the area we visited yesterday!
May God continue to bless you!
No words could properly express my appreciation for the hospitality and the welcoming atmosphere at Normarke Farm.
After coming here for seven years, it's more like coming home than a vacation!
