As second-generation husband and wife owners, we have kept up the Ruthcliffe tradition.
Over the years, our rustic lodge has become renowned for its hospitality and fine foods.

Named after Mark's mother, Ruth, the lodge was originally built in 1951 by local craftsmen and family members.
In 1957, we added a separate facility and opened to the public.

Today, Ruthcliffe Lodge features six lakeside guest rooms with unparalleled views of Lake Champlain.
Rooms are uniquely decorated in themes characteristic of the region.
Each is comfortably furnished and features such charming details as hand-stenciled walls, handmade wall quilt, wicker chairs, and a Vermont-marble verandah overlooking the shores of the lake.
Our delicious Italian-American cuisine is prepared by Mark.
Enjoy splendid seafood, chicken, beef, veal, or pasta entrees accompanied by Mark's homemade soups, warm bread, seasonal greens, and garden fresh vegetables.
You'll dine al fresco or in our cozy, knotty-pine dining room overlooking sparkling Lake Champlain.
To complement your meal, we have handpicked a fine selection of imported and domestic wines.
Full bar service is also available.
Finish off your dining experience with a homemade dessert: Raspberry Pie and Strawberry Shortcake made with local berries or Almond and Blueberry Bread Pudding served with Vermont maple syrup.
