Services
The Hartland Inn is a New Meadows landmark!
Rich in history and mystery.
The main house, now a Bed & Breakfast, was originally built by Colonel Edgar Heigho in 1911 for his family's residence, and is now on the Historical Registry.
Colonel Heigho was the founder of New Meadows and president of the P& IN Railroad.
He bought the land that is currently New Meadows, mapped it out, naming the streets after family members and continued to bring development to the town through the railroad.
He built the train depot (which is currently being renovated for historical integrity and is the town History Museum) and built Hotel Heigho, which burned down in 1929.
