Mountain Hearth Lodge is an elegantly rustic Bed and Breakfast getaway in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains secluded between Roaring Gap and Sparta, North Carolina just off Vestal road at Milepost 231.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are centrally located in the northwest mountains of North Carolina and a short drive from Winston-Salem, Raleigh-Durham, Chapel Hill, Charlotte and Wilkesboro in North Carolina, Blacksburg, Marion and Bristol in Virginia and Johnson City, Tennessee.

The Mountain Hearth Lodge is a rustic bed and breakfast getaway in a prime forest-setting, along the edge of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Spring starts softly in the mountains with violet-throated crocus emerging from the snow as you snuggle warmly in the serenity of the Doughton Park room.
Pristine white linens adorn the antique bed to create a cozy nest.
You dream the colors as you rest in this peaceful world of white.
Raise the window and let the fragrance of Hay-scented fern permeate your being as you settle down for the night.
In the Mountain Laurel room, you will find harmony and comfort as you drift off into a dreamy sleep.
Drift into deep sleep while listening to the gentle sounds of the adjacent bubbling brook.
From the Creekside Cabin you have a view of the twin peaks of Bullhead Mountain.
Bullhead, purchased by The Nature Conservancy (and managed as a wildlife preserve by the state of NC), is a completely natural (no structures or lights at night), fully-protected landscape.
With the stocked trout pond in front and the trout stream flowing along side, the cabin is decorated with a rainbow trout theme.
Custom designed by regional artists, the walls are accented with natural slate and locally collected stones; and painted to resemble the subtle light of a dawn sky.
All accommodations include fine linens, private bathrooms, plush towels, hair dryers, bath amenities, access to irons and ironing board, ceiling fans in the rooms and clock radio/CD player.
Complimentary coffee and an assortment of beverages and snacks are available from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in our Garden Room.
Full breakfast for all guests is served in the lodge each morning at 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Continental breakfast in our Garden Room is available with advance notice for guests who are getting an early start.
Bicyclists traveling solo or in a group can rest assured that Mountain Hearth Lodge can accommodate your needs.
Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are your perfect stop if you are riding through, or a quick and easy access if day riding fits your schedule.
