In 1939 John Stroppel dug a well 1,780 feet down to reach the 119 degree mineral-rich water. The hotel and plunges have a long-history of healing and relaxation. Wallace and Laurie wish to continue this tradition and share Midland, South Dakota's natural resources. Our rustic hotel is inviting to generations of hunters, workers, and travelers seeking the healing touch of our uniquely composed mineral waters.
We have five rooms with an ensuite bathroom whose shower and toilets utilize the geothermal mineral waters. We have six rooms that utilize one of our four common/shared toilet and sinks and a shower situated in the middle plunge utilizing the mineral waters. All are clean and welcoming.
