In late 2018, Helm Hotels Group announced the purchase of the former Holiday Inn Express of Sulphur Springs, TX and operated the hotel temporarily as a Clarion Inn. Clarion Point is a new brand from Choice that offers travelers a chance to experience the culture of the town from the comfort of their hotel room. Each room has murals of Sulphur Springs attractions and the hotel features a full-bar in the lobby.

He eventually left the business to his son Charles, with he and his family making it into what it is today. Charles Helm has been involved in the lodging industry for over than 35 years and served on the Best Western International Board of Directors, where in 2007 he served as Chairman of the Board.
Almost the entire Helm family is involved in the hospitality industry, and some have hotels named after them.
