Our B&B is located within ten minutes of the University of Connecticut and Interstate 84 and is situated on two beautifully landscaped acres amidst established perennial gardens and fruit trees. Our bed and breakfast has all modern amenities including queen-sized canopy beds, private baths and fireplaces. This Connecticut bed-and-breakfast provides several common rooms.
The Keeping Room is the central gathering spot where you can relax by the hearth. Enjoy a cup of morning brew in our stone room while awaiting breakfast or watch TV in the "old carriage house" during the warmer seasons. Particularly enjoyable is relaxing on the covered porch during a warm rain! We regret that we do not have the facilities to accommodate children under age 13 years and please ask about our pet policy.
For the comfort of our guests and the preservation of this historic property, we do not permit smoking in any of the guestrooms or common areas.

All our rooms have private bathrooms and air conditioning; our Maybell Cottage offers additional amenities that make it a wonderful choice for guests seeking an extended stay or little extras.
Named after the wife of Daniel Rust who lived in the house from 1731 to 1748.
After the rustic conditions she lived in, we thought it appropriate to name our nicest suite after her.
This air-conditioned room has a queen-sized canopy bed and a working fireplace.
The luxury private bath features a two-person whirlpool tub, robes, and a hair dryer.

Your innkeepers at The Daniel Rust House are animal lovers and understand that sometimes you want or need to travel with your dog.
We will gladly accommodate canine family members but since we are not a doggie inn that accommodates humans, but rather, a B&B that welcomes well-behaved dogs, we request that any dogs that are fearful of or aggressive towards other animals and/or humans remain at home.
We do have a fenced-in area where dogs will be able to mingle.
If your dog is left in our care and is aggressive, you will be asked to leave, forfeiting charges for the remainder of your reservation.
