Base Camp is located on a private estate, this apartment is part of our residence with it's own secluded entrance with total privacy.
We offer you all of the comforts of home and the splendid seclusion of the mountains.
The maid's wing of our brick Dutch colonial home is situated on a sixty acre estate with magnificent views from the estate and from atop Mount Beacon of our Hudson Valley and the Schwangunk Ridge.
The apartment has a kitchenette with toaster oven, microwave, coffee machine, small refrigerator and sink.

A reservation is officially canceled when the guest calls and emails in the cancellation, which they can find on the Contact Page.
Cancellation policies may be superseded by the Guest Refund Policy, safety cancellations, or extenuating circumstances.
The apartment is not for anyone disabled or with balance problems (steep stair, see living room photo on our AirBnB listing).
Serta pillow top queen mattress platform bed, which is very comfortable and comfy bedding with fluffy pillows and extra blankets.

Base Camp is an apartment with a private entrance, featuring a queen size new queen platform bed with a Serta pillow top mattress adorned in comfortable, non-allergenic fabrics and pillows in the upstairs bedroom.
The upstairs bathroom is fully tiled just off the bedroom.
The bedroom also has a large closet and dresser for your cloths for your stay here in the Hudson Valley.
Down stairs is the living room with a wall of books to simply kick back and enjoy a good read.
We have complimentary Wi-Fi available in the kitchenette area only and HD Cable TV with many movie channels.

Just a stone's throw from our bed and breakfast you can hike up Mount Beacon, it's about an hour or so to the top.
From the summit of the mountain you'll be glad you made the trip, it's a spectacular, panoramic views of the Hudson River Valley.
Several really breathtaking views from the rebuilt fire tower, incline railroad ruins and some great scenes somewhat off the beaten path.
If you are in decent shape the climb up Mount Beacon is not too difficult.
For those who are out of shape hike up for a while and pace yourself, make sure to have enough energy to make the return back.

A nice tip for your taxi is more than enough to show your gratitude - but if you'd like you can also commend a cabbie for going above and beyond the call of duty on social media for the taxi ride to the rail station.

Metro North Railroad runs every day with a stop at Beacon, from Grand Central Station in Manhattan, (total train time approximately one hour, forty minutes).
Metro-North's Hudson line provides a direct link to Grand Central Station in New York City from the Beacon Station.
