Welcome to the Samuel Durfee House, a Federal Period Inn in beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. Located in the City by the Sea's Yachting Village, our downtown Newport, RI bed and breakfast is just a block from the harbor, restaurants, and shops on Thames Street and is 1 1/2 blocks from Bellevue Avenue with its mansions, shops, and the Tennis Hall of Fame.

Services
Take I-95 South to Exit 9 (Route 4).
Follow Route 4 South, it will narrow and merge with Route 1. Continue approximately 1/2 mile to exit for 138 East (Newport Bridge).
Continue directions from New York where the *is.
Take I-93 South to Route 24 South.
Route 24 South briefly merges with 195 West in Fall River, continue following signs for Route 24 South.
If you have many and/or heavy bags, you may want to stop at bottom of driveway or in front of house and bring your bags in before parking!
Start your day with our delicious complimentary gourmet breakfast.
Breakfast is served daily from 8:30-9:30 in our formal dining room, on the patio in the warmer months, or delivered to your room.
Coffee and tea are available beginning at 8am.
Each morning we offer your choice of one of two entrees, one sweet one savory or for those that like a lighter breakfast, a continental breakfast is available.
If you have any special dietary needs or allergies, please let us know and we will happily adjust our menu to fit your needs.
For your comfort, all beds are triple sheeted with luxurious down alternative comforters and pillows.
Some guest rooms have private decks; whirlpool spas and all rooms have private baths.
Please note that most of our beds are on the tall side and step stools are available if needed.
Off-street parking is provided, one space per room.
A complimentary full breakfast and afternoon refreshments are served each day.
