President, Allen Bearden, a Civil Engineer, traces his background in the field of lodging renovations to his five years of experience with Days Inn of America. Since that time, he has been active in the construction/renovation field until forming PRECEDENCE with Greg Peeples in 1993.

Allen has been involved in hotel renovation almost exclusively for his entire career, working with Developers (Cardinal Industries), Franchisors (days Inns of America, Inc.), Hotel Management Companies (Tollman-Hundly Hotels) and Contractors.He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic University and co-founded Precedence, Inc. with Greg Peeples in 1993.

Allen develops all cost estimates and coordinates the overall re-construction efforts. Vice President, Greg Peeples, whose background is concentrated in the area of interior renovation, claims over twenty years of active involvement in lodging renovation, purchasing, design and project manager. His extensive experience in the lodging industry and knowledge of manufacturing resources add to the Precedence one source concept.

Our approach to budget development is to create an overall estimate that includes actual pricing on known quantities, and best guess estimates on the unknown.
All of these components are meshed together to generate an order-of-magnitude estimate.
As the design progresses, real costs replace estimates and the budget becomes more accurate.
