Magnolia Lodging
Magnolia Lodging, LLC originated in its namesake town of Magnolia, Arkansas, in the 1940s by husband-and-wife team Gresham and Sue Shinn. The Shinns built and operated hotels throughout Arkansas, gradually expanding into Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Beginning in 1982, son G. J. "Jay" Shinn furthered his parents' legacy by developing and managing award-winning hotels under the Hilton and Marriott flags.

In 1998, following continued growth and a commanding portfolio, Jay formed Magnolia Lodging, LLC with father-and-son hoteliers Wayne and Matthew Newton. Marked by exceptional service and numerous awards, Magnolia Lodging has emerged an industry leader in providing outstanding guest service, a unique style of leadership, and successful, competitive hotels.

In 2015, all three of Magnolia Lodging's Homewood Suites by Hilton properties ranked within the top 10 percent of the brand. Additionally, the Home2 Suites in Frisco also earned a brand ranking of #2. In 2013, the company's TownePlace Suites Dallas/Lewisville earned the Marriott Chairman's Award for overall guest satisfaction, and was the proud recipient of a Platinum Circle Award for overall performance and guest scores.
