While a resident there, he served as a Town Commissioner and as Mayor Pro-tem. He is a past president of the Chamber of Commerce for Carolina and Kure Beaches and served on the Cape Fear Coast Convention Visitors Bureau of New Hanover County. Larry is a board member for the Federal Point Medical Center serving Carolina and Kure Beaches.
Prior to Larry's motel experience, he attended the Lee Institute School of Real Estate and obtained his real estate broker's license, received a BS Degree in Business from Campbell College and served four years in the United States Navy.He has been in the real field since 1972. Many of those year were inactive. In 1995 he started full time selling hotel real estate as an independant agent.During this time he has sold over 85 percent of the properties he represented, bringing buyers, sellers and lenders together.
