The lodge began its history in 1922 as a summer retreat for the Marshalls, a banking family from Kansas.
We are a small, privately owned country inn at the doorstep to the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountain National Park.
At one time this beautiful estate was owned by families of wealth that threw Great Gatsby like events.
Those days have given way to a quiet, romantic, and nationally recognized mountain retreat on the edge of the village of Estes Park, Colorado.
Construction of Marshall Lodge began in 1922 in Estes Park.
Built as a summer lodge for a banking family from Lincoln, Kansas, the lodge became a retreat from the hot Midwest summers and hosted much-anticipated family gatherings.

The largest room in the Main House, this romantic, Victorian, three-room suite comes with large west-facing windows that provide a panoramic view of the Continental Divide and our riverfront meadows.
With a magnificent king bed, a well-stocked library, a sitting parlor, a soaking tub set right next to a fireplace, and a private deck overlooking the meadows, this elegant room is a mountain dreamland.
Our second visit, and everything was absolutely on-point, even during these "interesting" times when modifications must be made to the experience.
