Sea Gull Inn Bed & Breakfast
Mendocino's Seagull Inn Bed and Breakfast, located just steps to the Headlands and Big River State Parks, beaches, shops, galleries, outdoor recreation, and fine dining, is one of the original Bed and Breakfast Inns on the scenic Northern California Coast. The Seagull Inn was built in 1883 and has served the traveling public since the 1960s.

Along with its spectacular location, this treasure is noted for its hospitality, charm, delicious breakfast, meticulously maintained gardens, and affordability for the best value and experience in the Village.Well maintained, cared for and loved, the Seagull Inn and its grounds are very much a part of Mendocino's original historical charm. All nine guest rooms have private entrances and en suite full bathrooms.

All rooms have a view of the dramatic and ever-changing Pacific Ocean, or our magical coastal gardens. You are invited to sit out in the gardens, on the deck, patio, adirondacks, or the many benches. Each morning, a delicious, filling, organic breakfast is brought to your room.

We look forward to being in touch.
We love Mendocino and have stayed at various B&Bs and AirBnBs-all nice but none that have captured our loyalty like the Sea Gull Inn.
The (new!) owners are fantastic, our room was perfect for the two of us, and breakfast was yummy every morning.
The North Coast is rich in history, natural resources and beauty.
In 1850, the Baltimore schooner Frolic shipwrecked off the Mendocino Coast, and the explorers found riches more valuable than silk.
Arriving from the South on Hwy 1: After crossing Big River Bridge, take the first Mendocino exit (sign will read "Main Street" Business District).
Drive 2 blocks, on your left you will see a Chevron service station.
Turn right onto Howard Street and left onto Albion Street.
The Sea Gull Inn is in the middle of the block on your right.
Arriving from the North on Hwy 1: Take a right turn into the third Mendocino exit (the first exit is Lansing Street, the second a traffic signal, the third exit is Main Street).
Each room features beautiful art by a local Mendocino artist or photographer, in collaboration with Prentice Gallery, where that artist's work is professionally framed and hung.
This allows us to showcase the artist, and give you amazingly beautiful artwork and photography to enjoy.
Please note that there is a $9 per night service fee that is collected at the time of booking.
This is passed directly to your Innkeepers and Housekeepers for their hard work and commitment to ensuring an amazing hospitality experience during your stay.
Our "Best Rates" are available only on our reservation pages or by phone.
Many third party websites (like Expedia and Booking.com or TripAdvisor and even Google), claim to have the best rates for our guest rooms.
They do not, because we set their rates and we do not always offer our rooms through those sites.
The truth is that you'll find the best rates and availability by booking through our website or calling us directly.
If you are celebrating a birthday, an anniversary or just life, let us know in advance and we will decorate the room.
