Due to the immediate success of that property his development group decided to build their second hotel, the Hampton Inn and Suites - Chesterfield, in the quickly expanding Chesterfield Valley area of West St Louis County. That 120 room property opened in August of 2000. In 2007, the company expanded Westward, with the purchase of the existing Hampton Inn and Suites in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
After an extensive top to bottom renovation and refurbishment, it is now the market leader in its segment. In 2008, Chesterfield Hotels Inc. developed a 134 room property, the Hampton Inn and Suites - Columbia at the University of Missouri, located on a site adjacent to the Mizzou campus. In 2009, we opened the Stadium Grill restaurant on a parcel next to our Hampton Inn & Suites and located just 2,000 feet from the Mizzou Basketball Arena and Football Stadium.
Both of these projects have been very successful and well received in the market. In 2014, the company completed construction of The Broadway, A Doubletree by Hilton hotel.
