For clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price, the Robbers Roost Motel is the choice of travelers in southeastern Utah. We are located in Green River, just south of the Book Cliffs, near Moab right off Interstate 70, one mile in town off exit 160 from the west and 3 miles in town off exit 164 from the east. The Robbers Roost Motel is an historic building built in the 1940's that has been a family owned and operated business since that time.

The motel is named after a historical landmark close to Green River where the Wild Bunch i.e. Butch Casidy, Sundance Kid, etc. used to hide out in the very early 1900s near the San Rafael Swell, which is about 50 miles southwest of the motel's location. For more information on Green River and the surrounding area go to Destination Green River. Green River might not seem like much because it's a small town but it has a lot to offer and we are close to almost everything to do outdoors, except maybe skiing.

As you can see from the video this area is rich in history with mines and mining settlements, river and canyon exploration, cowboys and the wild west, and Native American petroglyphs and pictographs.
Services
We are open 9am - 11pm midnight Monday through Saturdays and closed on Sundays (except for reservations).
We are a family owned and operated motel, so we might be out of the office, but if you do call and we don't answer please leave a message and we will call you back.
For your comfort, regardless of season and weather, we have HV/AC units in each of our rooms.
There's so much to do around Green River you'll never want to leave.
We have river rafting, national parks, state parks, rock climbing, mountain biking, scenic flights, horseback riding, hiking and more all within 60 miles of your hotel room.
Check out our blog with pictures of sites to see or go to Destination Green River for events and places to go and see!
This Utah State Park is less well known than surrounding national parks but is just as spectacular and stunning with its beautiful sandstone rock formations.
Again I would like to thank you for making the stay at your motel so pleasant.
Every time I return I can't help but notice the upgrades but more important is the friendly attitude offered by you & your wife.
The two of you drove over on your day off to inquire if I needed a room or some form of other assistance.
Thank you for your continuing kind attention to my needs.
I look forward to future visits.
We were very impressed with this motel.
For being as old as it is, it is in great condition and was cleaner than most that I have stayed at in Green River.
