The Nova Motel is conveniently located just outside the city limits, only minutes from dining, shopping, beaches, and area attractions. The S.S. Badger carferry, which sails from May-October from Ludington to Manitowoc, Wisconsin is just minutes away. Every year, antique tractors travel on the Badger to appear at the Western Michigan Old Engine Club Show, and the Nova Motel is their favorite place to stay!

Let us introduce ourselves-we are Kent and Joni Collins, owners of the Nova Motel. We take a completely active role in running the motel, from working the front desk to making sure each room is ready for our guests. Check out our newly remodeled Rustic Lodge room with queen size bed, tub/spa, refrigerator, and more.
Services
Not all motels and hotels are created equal.
The Nova Motel is set up to be family-friendly.
As you drive in, you'll immediately notice the cozy horseshoe shape, which gives a safe, intimate feeling.
The heated outdoor pool is a welcome alternative to going to the beach and can keep kids busy all day long.
Because the motel is set upon six wooded acres, there's lots of space in the back for kids to run and play.
There are grills and a picnic area to enjoy a cookout.
Bring your favorite furry friend-there are specified pet-friendly rooms, and lots of space for them to run, too!
Ludington's Mason County Fairgrounds hosts the Western Michigan Fair near the end of July-but it's a very busy place from May-October with numerous horse shows that take place most summer weekends.
The Nova Motel is the obvious lodging choice, as it's just a minute down the road from the fairgrounds.
Plus, the Nova has two driveways and big rig pull through parking, offering plenty of space for your trailer.
A few of the more popular events include the Mason County Saddle Club Open Horse Show, Gold Coast Futurity Horse Show, and the MIHA District IX Meet.
