Pick-up & drop-off is conveniently located at the hotel. The Mountaineer Hotel is a proud member of The National Register of Historic Places. Each guest rooms is named after one of the many famous persons who have stayed at the hotel. The hotel is next door to the Tug Valley tourism center, less than a quarter of a mile from the Hatfield & McCoy Trails and within minutes of many more area attractions.
What an absolutely wonderful surprise. It is so nice to see a gem like this historic old hotel being lovingly restored and brought back to life. Came down to ride the Hatfield & McCoy trails which are incredible, but this hotel was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

The Mountaineer Hotel parking garage can hold up to 30 vehicles and can accommodate trucks and trailers.
This garage is free for vehicles belonging to overnight guests only, with spaces available on a first come, first served basis.
Guests may park in any available spots that are not reserved spaces.
Please do not park in the travel lane.
If there is no space in our garage, guests may park in the courthouse lot at 75 East 2nd Ave from Friday at 5pm to Monday at 7am.
At other times, or in case that lot is full, the lot by Wilson Eye Care at 126 West 2nd Avenue can be utilized.
