Explore the Alaskan sights and wonders? Do you wish for an old Alaska atmosphere and secluded surroundings? Enjoy a relaxing stay in Kasilof in an artistic atmosphere on a hilltop with mountain views, surrounded by 17 acres of gardens, greenhouses, pond, and woods.

This bed and breakfast offers hot breakfasts with fresh fruit and veggies from the onsite gardens. The owner is an avid gardener, artist, and builder. After a long day of activities, you can enjoy a relaxing evening by the fireplace indoors surrounded by warm wood ceilings log accents, or you can enjoy the warm summer evening on the upper deck, taking in the beautiful sunset behind world famous volcanic Mount Redoubt while savoring the tempting scent of your freshly caught salmon as it sizzles on our barbecue.

At Hungry Moose Bed and Breakfast, you will, first of all, have the freedom to explore the spacious grounds, including a pond with canoe available, and a greenhouse with cedar wood fired hot tub and lots of flowers.

This bed and breakfast offers a pet friendly environment.
After a long day of activities, you can enjoy a relaxing evening by the fire place indoors surrounded by warm wood ceilings log accents, and artistic environment to keep you warm for winter vacation.
You can lean back to enjoy a cool summer breeze on the beautifully made custom log furniture on the upper deck on a warm summer evening while enjoying a beautiful sunset behind the world famous volcanic Mount Redoubt as you savor the tempting scent of your freshly caught salmon as it sizzles on our barbecue or campfire area.
The Kenai River offers trophy king salmon and excellent red, silver, and pink salmon, as well as rainbow trout fishing by drift or power boat, as well as from the banks.
The Kasilof River offers king, silver, and chum salmon fishing, as well as steelhead and rainbows.
Only drift boats are allowed.
Additionally, the Kasilof River personal use fishery in mid June for Alaska residents, as well as the salmon dipnet fishery in both the Kasilof and Kenai rivers in late July are very popular.
Charters for halibut, salmon, cod, and rockfish can be arranged through Homer, Nilnilchik, or Seward.
We currently have four rooms and a cabin for rent, depending on your need and party size, we can accommodate you!
Victorian themed room.
Largest space of the rooms, very private.
King sized bed.
Double occupancy, for more than two people staying in the room, there is a $20 charge per person, per day.
This room has a twin over queen custom made bunk bed.
Washer and dryer are located in this room.
It holds the library, a projector screen TV with video game console, VCR/DVD player, and satellite TV.
Monthly rentals, if booked 1 month or more, ( partial month after the first month prorated) get a 30% discount, which still includes breakfast.
For the same without breakfast, subtract another 10% of the original undiscounted price.
Cabin is a summer ( May- Sept) rental only.
It offers independence and privacy.
No breakfast included.
If you wish to add breakfast, add $7.00/person/day.
Same discounts apply unless renting by the month ( more than 30 days).
Monthly rental rate is $2,500.
You are on your own, (no maid service), however you may use main house facilites for laundry, fish cleaning area and freezers, and enjoy the grounds.
You can enjoy this at our large handmade maplewood table in front of the fireplace and view windows.
Many items come directly from our organically grown greenhouses and outdoor gardens.
We grow blueberries, raspberries, peaches, apples, strawberries, rhubarb, and cherries, all of which turn up in pies, stuffed crepes, pancake syrups, smoothies and fresh fruit bowls.
We use veggies in omelettes and quiche.
We will discuss with you the night before a menu to suit, since not everyone likes or can eat the some foods.
