Welcome to Whitebriar Bed and Breakfast located in Edgewater Park, New Jersey. The Whitebriar Complex includes two historic dwellings across the street from each other known as Dunk's Ferry Inn at Whitebriar and Historic Whitebriar Bed & Breakfast Inn. It also includes a carriage house next to Dunk's Ferry Inn at Whitebriar. The name "Whitebriar" is a result of our first acquisition being a 307 year old Quaker Salt Box style white Stucco home, which at some time in history had briar patches in the rear of the building.
Whitebriar Bed & Breakfast is great for family reunions, gatherings for weddings, graduations, funerals, etc. Children are always welcome. Accross the street from the Dunk's Ferry Inn at Whitebriar is The Organic Green Cafe at Whitebriar B&B where all the breakfasts are served for the Bed and Breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. You can download the menu here.
The Green Cafe is offering a Weekend Breakfast Brunch. Open Monday thru Saturday 7am-7pm. Closed Sundays for Church.

Framed photo of the hosts of Dunk's Ferry Inn at Whitebriar, Carole Lokan-Moore and husband Bill Moore.
When we purchased the Whitebriar property in 1969, we didn't feel that after all this time we should change what history has made.
Therefore, we often answer to Mr. and Mrs. Whitebriar, although our names are really Carole and Bill Moore.
Back in the 1940's, Whitebriar had two apartments for rent.
When Bill's father went away during WWII, he left his wife, Florence, and their new born son at Whitebriar.

The WOODSMEN ROOM (second floor, side of house) is our smallest room and is $85 for two persons.
This room was named after my father, Richard Lokan, who was instrumental in bringing a truck load of crated wild turkeys back from Florida to replenish the New Jersey extinct population.
The room is decorated with awards he won from the Governor, as well as his duck mounts, antique fishing poles, and collections of 50 years of hunting licenses.
The "Turn of the Last Century" cast iron full sized bed is pushed to one wall, to show off our great-grand-mother's hand hooked "mauve" rugs.
