Wicky-Up Ranch is an eco-friendly California bed and breakfast offering guests Sequoia National Park lodging that is convenient, yet far from the crowds. Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near the gate to the Giant Sequoias, Wicky-Up Ranch gets its name from the Algonquin language and means "shelter" or "home." This working orange ranch in Woodlake, CA is a unique farm-stay experience now celebrating its 25th year anniversary as an iconic landmark.

Wicky-Up's guest accommodations provide the ideal location for a romantic getaway or a serene resting place to relax and rejuvenate, as well as an opportunity to observe nature up close. Your hosts, Jack and Monica, welcome you to step back to the year 1902 as you enter this gracious, California Craftsman-type home built by Illinois State Senator Fred E. Harding.

This authentic, two-story, turn-of-the-century home features incomparable Port Orford cedar woodwork on the walls and ceilings. Guest tours will review family history and provide detail on the antiques, paintings and Oriental rugs which have been passed down to the hosts, fourth generation descendants of Senator Harding.

The philosophy that we bring to the food we prepare echoes that of the Slow Foods Movement of which Wicky- Up Ranch is a member.
We maintain that food is at its best when it is local, fresh and simply enhanced.
The morning meal at our country bed and breakfast inn includes fresh-squeezed orange juice from our citrus ranch; locally grown fruits in season; a variety of muffins and artisan breads; hot teas, including herbal, and coffee made from freshly ground beans.
