With just two inn rooms, you'll enjoy a peaceful break from the everyday, with attentive service from friendly but not obtrusive innkeepers. Tie your boat at our dock, or drive up and park right by our front gate, in convenient off-street parking. Twin Gables is centrally located in the Skamokawa National Historic District, and is just a short walk from all local attractions.

For families with children and/or pets, and those who prefer to do their own cooking, we also offer a separate vacation rental apartment next door to the inn. Twin Gables is located a short walk from a general store and post office. Also in walking distance: the riverfront Skamokawa Vista Park, the county fairgrounds, and a wildlife refuge. Just across the creek is historic Redmen Hall: home of the River Life Interpretive Center.

There you will find local crafts and regional interest books for sale. The Duck Inn, with full bar and American diner-style food is within walking distance. World-class kayak instruction and tours are also available nearby.

You'll enjoy a starter of fruit salad, with coffee or tea, and fruit juice, followed by a main course such as French Toast or a savory egg dish such as quiche or herb cream cheese scramble, accompanied by sausage or bacon, cottage potatoes and home made bread.
Our full dinners: starter green salad, main course, side, beverage and dessert, are priced at $35/pp.
We also offer our lighter Simple Suppers: green salad starter, then a pasta or hearty soup, with our home made bread and coffee, tea or soft drink.
Next to, but separate from our Bed and Breakfast Inn, the Twin Gables Vacation Rental Apartment is romantic enough for two and comfortable enough for four.
Enjoy the Julia Butler Wildlife refuge for the Columbia Whitetail Deer - just around the corner.
Cross the street and stroll the sandy beaches of Skamokawa Vista Park, or hike the park's nature trail.
Smoking is permitted outside only.
Any tobacco smoke detected in apartment will result in an automatic $500 dollar cleaning and painting fee.
Except for laundry, the property and its contents should be returned to original condition.
We are located in tiny Skamokawa, in Southwest Washington, about midway west of Longview, WA and east of Astoria, OR.
From Interstate 5, take the Longview exit and continue 30 miles west on State Route 4 (Ocean Beach Highway) until you reach Skamokawa.
The highway crosses the Skamokawa Creek Bridge., First right after the bridge, at the shingled house with the red roof and white fence.
From Astoria and the coast, travel east from Naselle on Washington State Route 4 until you get to Skamokawa.
Take the first left, after the 35mph sign, then past three houses until you see shingled house on the left with a red roof and a white fence, There are several parking spaces in front.
Riverside walks at Skamokawa Vista Park are a short walk away.
Also in walking distance: the local museum, book and gift shop at Redmen Hall.
Flat, quiet and tree-lined roads are ready for walking and biking at the nearby Julia Butler Hanson Refuge for the Columbian White-Tailed Deer.
Kayakers can take advantage of local tours and instruction from nearby Columbia River Kayaking - one of the top kayaking tour services on the West Coast.
The Twin Gables private dock is just a few steps from the front door of the inn and 100 yards from the Columbia River.
