Established in 1940 and recently renovated, the Marathon Motel sits on 10 acres with 10 newly decorated rooms divided among four duplex cabins. Here, guests can relax in the new adobe-walled courtyard with flowering native plants, fireplace, fountain, and spectacular views of the mountains and starry skies.
The easy-to-navigate RV Park has 19 full hookups with an array of services. Camping is available in the rear of the property that provides seclusion, privacy, and a beautiful view of the mountains.

The Marathon Motel is located on Hwy 90, half a mile west of the community of Marathon, Texas.
Marathon is one of a handful of communities located in an area of Southwest Texas known as the Big Bend region, and is considered the north "Gateway" to Big Bend National Park.
The motel was established circa 1940 by a Mr. Hampton.
Like so many small motels and motor-courts built during that period, they endured a variety of economic conditions, and owners.
The 1960s brought the introduction of "chain" hotels and motels.

Service includes water, 30/50 amp electrical hookup, sewer, and cable TV.
We also have an easy-to-navigate entrance and clean, bright restrooms, complete with showers, are available to the RV at no additional charge.
Camping is available in the rear of the property that provides seclusion, privacy, and a beautiful view of the mountains.
Bathroom and shower facilities are provided in the cost of the campsite.

To reserve a Cabin we require a deposit of one night's rent + tax.
We will accept a credit card for the deposit.
Deposits are refundable if we have a 48 hour notice, if you cancel after that time a refund will depend on whether we can re-rent your cabin.
Exceptions: Holidays, Events, Weekends, and the busy seasons.
A refund will hinge on re-rental, less the service charge.
For Multiple night rentals we ask for payment in full at check in especially weekends, holidays, busy seasons, or event weekends.
