Dignified Daring Dames
Our historical bathhouse dates back to the turn of the century when a young Sulphur Springs was alive with excitement and bathhouses abounded. One of those establishments was the Caylor Bathhouse which has become the Sulphur Springs Inn Bed & Breakfast and Cottages. We offer you an opportunity to experience the serenity of days gone by when this area was known as the "Peaceful Valley of Rippling Waters" and people came from distant lands to experience the healing powers of the sulphur mud and bromide springs.

Nestled in the Arbuckle mountains at the edge of the old Sulphur Springs Reservation, then the Platt National Park, and now the Chickasaw National Park, our historical bathhouse of healing waters offers our guest an atmosphere of simple elegance and an appreciation for nature. Our front door opens into Oklahoma's most beautiful and sacred grounds; affording our guests easy access to Nature's healing medicinal springs, unique flora, fauna, geological formations and abundant wildlife.

Wonderful how completely everything in wild nature fits into us, as if truly part and parent of us.
For thousands of years indigenous people have come to this valley of rippling waters for its healing minerals.
Legend has it that these bromide and sulphur waters will cure anything from rheumatism to catarrah.
We're not certain of the legend, but we do know that the beauty of this valley and the soothing waters will bring you an inner peace.
The park holds within its boundaries a vast diversity of natural resources.
Strong sulphur water once flowed through the old bathhouse and patrons soaked in tubs under her pavilion on endless, lazy summer days.
This old bathhouse's large well also supplied water to the park's Bromide Pavilion, 30 foot Bromide fountain and Lilly pond located about 200 yards away in the National Park.
Today some of the pavilion springs are dry, though there is an interest in them flowing again some day.
In some ways the healing powers of the Bromide Pavilion springs still linger, as Saturday evenings of summer brings the soothing sound of local musicians playing the tunes of old time music.
