The inn itself is lovingly decorated with family heirloom antiques and quilts made by Suzy. The old wide pine floors have been uncovered, finished and graced with both old and new braided rugs. The Catamount Trail parallels Rt. 17 and leads to Mad River Glen. A trail behind our Inn passes Bragg Hill and Phen Basin and ends just up the road at The Battleground.

We added the dining room on in 1983 so that we would have a large enough room to comfortably accommodate our twelve foot long antique pumpkin pine harvest table.
With a small extension Fred built, this table can seat all of our fourteen guests as they enjoy delicacies from the kitchen, views of the mountains and conversation with each other.
Our large plant-filled bay window affords guests views of both Mad River Glen and Sugarbush's Mount Ellen as they enjoy a hearty breakfast.
One of our breakfast specialties is blueberry pancakes made from blueberries picked on our property and served with Vermont Maple syrup produced by the trees on the hillside behind the inn.

We take a 50% deposit or one night's lodging deposit when the reservation is made.
We require a 14-day notice of cancellation for a full refund.
We reserve the right to charge the full amount of the reservation if cancellation notice is received within 48 hours of anticipated arrival or if the guest fails to arrive.
If the deposit is made by credit card, 5% of the deposit will be deducted from the deposit refund to cover the costs of credit card processing.
